Ordering Information
Making A Purchase Our rates of exchange are set each day by our payment provider, Paypal, and are updated every 24 hours. The GB pound is the core currency in which prices are quoted as virtually all of our products on offer originate in the United Kingdom. Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse through our on-line purchase pages for:
- i) distillery downloads
- ii) whiskies
- iii) books.
Then click on any items that you wish to buy and place them into the shopping basket. After you have finished your selection, click on "Checkout" and you will be asked for a few details that we require to process your order. We accept online credit card payment via Paypal to ensure the highest level of security. There is no charge to you the customer for using Paypal. If you are shopping from outside the UK, please simply follow the standard process to place your order and your credit card company will convert the transaction into your own local currency. We accept: Visa, Mastercard, American Express payments through our secure payment gateway Paypal. If you do not wish to provide your credit card details “online”, you may also send your card details by telephone, fax or regular mail. Please have your order details available when you contact us.
Delivery Costs & Times : Whiskies
Our whiskies come from three sources of supply. These are designated A, B and C. The supply designation is the final letter in the SKU code shown on the order pages in the Whisky Cave. If you order more than one bottle from the same source, then the multiple charges below apply. If, however, you order more than one bottle from different sources then the single bottle and multiples thereof apply. For instance, if you order 4 whiskies for delivery to one address in, say, France and they are all from Source A, then the shipping charge is GBP 16.00. If, however, you order 4 whiskies for delivery to one address in France and two bottles are from Source A, one from Source B and one from Source C, then shipping would cost GBP 49.50.

The prices above are given in UK pounds sterling. VAT of 17.5% is assigned to all orders shipped to European Union (EU) countries including the UK. Whisky Journeys and our suppliers partner with Parcel Force Worldwide as our logistics provider.
A unique identification number will be provided by e-mail when your order is despatched to allow you to check the status of your delivery at any time via the Parcel Force Worldwide online tracking service. Please note that although we ship products to many countries around the world, certain countries have restrictions regarding the supply of products containing alcohol – including the USA. For this reason, we dispatch goods entirely at the risk of the customer and, although we maintain proof of shipment from our carrier (Royal Mail Parcel Force) and provide a tracking number by e-mail for each shipment, we unfortunately, cannot guarantee delivery to certain worldwide locations.
Please check the delivery regulations/status regarding the country in which you are located prior to placing your order if you are in doubt.

Back Orders
If your item is not in stock, we will back order for you. You will always be emailed with the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait.
Tax Charges
For all orders for delivery in the UK or the European Union, 17.5% VAT is added. All other orders are VAT free.
Delivery Costs & Times: Books and DVD’s.
Our books and dvd’s come from various sources of supply but where we can we will give a discount on shipping for items which, when combined, come from the same source. Those items that can be combined in this way have the letter X as the final letter in the SKU code in the order pages in the Whisky Library. Our shipping charges have been simplified so as to fall into four categories by weight and distance. The categories are designated A, B, C and D. The category designation is the final letter in the SKU code except when X is the final letter for items which can be combined with each other. All prices in GBP. There is no VAT on books and dvd's.

When 2 books are ordered which both have the SKU ending in X, reduce the combined postage rate by 25%. For example, if you order a category A book and a category D book for Australia, the combined cost of shipping is 6.50 + 35.00 = 41.50 – 10.37 (25%) = 31.13.When 3 or more books are ordered which all have the SKU ending in X, reduce the combined postage by 40%. For example, if you order a category A book, two category B books and a category C book for shipment to Germany, the combined cost of shipping is 4 + 15 + 13 = 32 – 12.80 (40%) = 19.20.
Credit Card Security
All credit card numbers are encrypted in the software when the order is placed and pass through the Paypal security system.

We guarantee your satisfaction. Any complaints will be promptly dealt with by our Customer Service Team. Please check all goods carefully on receipt for damage or breakage. It is important that any problems are documented when signing for your package(s) on receipt. This will aid any relevant insurance claim.
